  • Step 1: Check on the status of the PSN.
  • Step 2: If the PSN is online, use the PS3 Internet Browser and try to visit any website. If you can, your Internet service is running correctly, go to the next step. If you cannot there is an issue with your Internet service. Click on the type of connection below for troubleshooting steps.
  • Step 3: Try accessing the PlayStation Store. If you can, this means that the PS3 can connect to the PlayStation Network and the issue is with the game. Try contacting the software publisher for additional assistance.

    Error code 8002a548

Here are the official troubleshooting steps from Playstation for that error code: https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3948/kw/8002A548

Basically it's saying you're having network problems...
Are you using your PS3 over WiFi?
If so, try plugging a computer cable into the back to see if the problem stops.
Make sure you do a network connection test in your PS3

    These might also help:
Try resetting your modem/router and disconnecting other devices from your network. (they may be needlessly sucking up bandwidth.)
Also, try shutting off the media server connection. (Settings > Network Settings > Media Server Connection > 'Disable'.)

Try to sign in and it says " an error occured, you have been signed out of playstation network (80710A06)

    Hello,

The PlayStation Network is down at the moment. Sony Entertainment is working on this. The code is from the site not a physical error with your PS3. That code says - "80710A06 - An error occurred during the install operation (error when downloading game from PSN - network error occurred." The only way I have heard of to fix this is to reset the system to defaults. Go to the settings -> System Settings --> restore system defaults --> then restart your system. This will clear your code. HoweverThe PlayStation Network is down and this too can be in part the problem but the hard reset is what takes care of the issue when the PSN is running normally. I'd wait till the PSN comes back online before a hard reset.
