hold down the "find handset" button til it flashes, and then let go and press it again while it flashes. This will de-register the phone and you should get a new message saying the the handset isn't registered blah blah blah. Then put it back on the base until it beeps. This should fix your problem, unless the base itself is just dead.
A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if answer is helpful for your question. THANK you and GOD BLESS
Contact your provider and they may be able to do this for you. Otherwise if you happen to have it registered you can definitely shut it down from the computer. You can even put a tracking on it and send a message to the phone that it would be returned and let them know that it's being tracked.
Push the top left button (looks like an audio tape). Then push 5 (has a play symbol on it) You can use 4 and 6 to navigate saved messages or use # (has a 'X' on it too, to delete messages).
To turn off/on the answering machine:
I lost my user manual for my Doro 615R+1 home phone, so after much deliberation and playing with many buttom combinations, worked out how to turn off the answering machine.
- Open the answering machine function by pushing the top left button (looks like an audio tape).
- Push '0' and then use the up and down arrows to select On or Off.
- To enter your selection puch the top right button (looks like and arrow into a diamond).
