Power on but no dispal

check the connection to the motherboard, see or look at the power connection, if the power connection is connect try flipping the power connection around, if you tried that try and look for the positive side plugging in the hot wire to the + side hot wire ti control panel, if you are still having issues go on line see if you can find the layout of the connecting pins on the motherboard there a lot of different configurations for the led lay out and you connect it the wrong way you will short out the led display.
you try manufacture first
than try: www.allpinouts.org/motherboard manufacture name

I am trying to find the ground wire for this dryer.

On whirlpool (all manufacture) dryers the ground wire is linked to the center terminal with the white wire and attaches to the cabinet grounding all metal on dryer since on panel attaches to the next making the entire cabinet have continuty through the neutral/ground wire.
When connecting 3 wire cord connect the two outside wires to red/black on cord block and center wire to white/center terminal connection on block.
For a 4 wire cord red to red black to black white to white and the green to rear of cabinet/any panel near block

Dynex dx-32l151a11 the picture is black and white with the dvd player

With a Black and White picture it sounds like you're trying to connect the DVD Player's "Composite" connection to the TV's Component Connection.

Composite is a 3 wire system with Yellow for the video, and red and white for the audio. On your TV this connection is located on the side.

Component is a 5 wire system, with Blue, Green & Red for Video, and Red and White for audio. On your TV this connection type is located on the rear panel.

Check to make sure you are hooking the DVD player & the TV to the same input types.

Need to know how to hook up a tachometer with a shift light on it there are four wires

The Black wire will connect to body ground, and it should be a good solid ground and if this wire is not grounded well then you might receive a primary voltage shock if you touch anything that is metal or grounded inside of the vehicle when the engine is running.

The Red wire should be connected to power when the key is in the "Run" position only, and a good place to find that source is one of the "IGN" connections at the fuse panel using a covered female spade connector. Use a test light and be certain that the connection only has power when the key is in the "Run" position, and has no power when the key is in the "Off" or "Accy" position.

The White or Yellow wire should connect to the "LPS" connection at the fuse panel next to the LPS fuse using a covered female spade connector.

The Green wire will connect to the "-" negative side of the ignition coil or the primary side of the ignition coil, and for later model GM HEI equipped vehicles this will be the "Tach" connection next to the main "Bat" connection on the distributor cap if the ignition coil is mounted inside of the distributor cap, or to the "Tach" or "Test" lead that runs from the negative side of the ignition coil if the ignition coil is mounted separate from the distributor. To locate the lead run down the wire from the negative side of the ignition coil and the lead should break off from that wire and it should have a tag on the wire that will say either "Tach" or "Test" (sometimes it is just an empty black wire connector) and that is if the lead does not come straight off from the wire connector at the ignition coil. If there is no lead you can get a wire tap connector to tap into the wire from the negative side of the ignition coil and then use a covered male spade connector to connect the Green wire from the tachometer to the wire tap connector.

Here is a diagram to help assist you although it might be hard to make it out, and let me know if you require any further assistance.

I have a newer radio and want to install it, but isnt sure which wires connect, they are different colors

use a volt-meter or test light to find the positive supply power from your vehicles wires, and the ground wire too. attach those to the new radio's power wires (and attach the new radio's ignition power wire, or switching wire to the positive power wire from your vehicle too). The point will be to get power to the new radio so that you can do a trial by error to find which speakers turn on when you connect them. Just follow the sound! after you have found all the speaker wires. the last thing is to find which wire from your vehicle needs to be attached to the ignition wire on your radio. This wire makes sure your radio is off when your keys are turned off so not to drain the battery. if you cannot find a switching ignition wire, run a wire to a connection in the back of a fuse panel connection (which you can test any connection with your volt meter to see if it shuts off with the key.

3 prong connection to fusebox using hot wire, neutral wire, and ground wire. I know the hot wire and neutral wire connect to the circuit breaker, but I'm unsure about the grounding connection.

There will be a ground log/screw somewhere in the panel box. The ground wire goes to that.

If you see other bare wires going to a screw in type attatchment that is mounted to the panle box without insulators, that is the ground mount.

Dryer voltage problem

The dryer should work ok on 208 volts. The drying time may be a bit longer than usual since at 208 volts, you will only have 5408 watts of heat. Your bigger problem is your three phase panel. You can hook up one "hot wire" from the dryer to any of the three 3phase wires, and the other "hot wire" from the dryer to either of the two remaining 3phase connections and you will have a good connection to your dryer. However, the third wire from the dryer is a "ground wire" which has no connection in the three phase panel, or at least you didn't say it has one. If you can pull a ground wire from the grounding lug of the service panel feeding your 3phase box, and connect it to the third wire on the dryer, you would have a safe connection.

At 208v, the dryer will pull 26 amps. Be careful and make the right connections.

Appliance installation

you can hookup the dryer no problem.... and the fridge as well.
the dishwasher may be a little more complicated but i will explain it to you and you can judge for yourself.

I will start with the stove.
1.On the back panel of the stove there will be a small 6inX3in panel with a screw holding it in place.
2.You will need to remove the screw.
3.Once this is done you will see a black box with 3 either screws or bolts with nuts on them.
4.You will need to remove the screws or nuts.
5.You will probably get a dryer cord that has a green, white, red, and black wire it.
6.You will need to take the white wire and put it in the middle connection.
7.you will need to take the red wire and connect it to the left side connection.
8. You will need to take the black wire and connect it to the right connection.
(make sure all the screws and or bolts are secure.)
9.take the green wire and you will connect this to the back of the stove using the green screw or the screw that hold the panel in place. (Put the panel back in place, take the wire and put the screw through the opening in the wire and screw back to the panel to hold the panel and wire in place)
10.plug the stove in.

now for the fridge.
1.on your copper line there should be a end on it that will screw on to the water pump on the fridge.
2.take some teflon tape and rape the threads of the pump where the line will connect. (make sure you wrap the threads in clock wise.)
3.connect the line making sure it is secure.
4. turn the water on to the fridge.

now the dishwasher.
1. you will need to connect the water input lines. i would use teflon on the connection to make sure it does not leak.
2.connect the drain.
3.connect the wireing.
make sure that the breaker is off when you do this.
you will need to color match the wires. there should be a black, white and red wire. once this is done turn the breaker back on and run your dishwasher through a cycle to make sure it works correctly.

you will be done. please use the direction for the dishwasher at your own discretion but do please be CAREFUL.

please do not forget to rate and comment about your experience with fixya. Have a good day.
