Is there any way o fix it totally so you can use the button? Does the computer have to be off to use the hole thingy with a paper clip? Would getting a new dvd drive fix the problem?

Its a common problem. There is a very tiny hole on the dvd-rom, try to find it.
Then get something that would get into that hole, and push that something into the hole and apply pressure, it should open.
Also slamming the dvd-drive after clicking the open button would work, I do that myself, but it would totally break after time, so just use the hole thingy :)

Hp pavillion wont eject dvd

Turn system off and use a paper clip to manually open the drive door. Straighten a paper clip, then insert it in the small opening to the right of the eject button. This should manually open the door and you can remove any disks in the drive. Then reboot and see if it will open and close normally.

DVD Wont Eject properly

Sound like you might have a bad DVD drive the only recourse might be just replace the DVD drive. If it won't open.. most often you can use a paper clip to open the drive. There is usually a small hole near the eject button on the DVD drive where you can insert a paper clip end to open the drive and pull out the DVD. After removing the DVD you can test if the drive eject or not correctly with nothing in it. If it doesn't, have the drive replaced.

The dvd player wont open and it isn't reading dvd's.

You will want to check in Device Manager to see if the device is even detected by the computer. Right Click My Computer, Properties, Click Hardware Tab and Device Manager. If it isn't recognizing the DVD drive then it is most likely bad.

Actually my dvd is not opening when i m pressing the open/close button.

It could be a "physical" problem.

Take a Norwegian paper-clip, and straighten one end.
Insert that end into the small hole in the face-plate of the drive,
and push until you feel resistance.
Then, firmly push another 10mm (1/4 inch) and the drive should "unlock" and open slightly.
Press the open/close button to fully open the tray.

Drive door stuck and wont open

You can always try getting a jumbo paperclip, unbending it once, and inserting it into the small circular hole on the front of your drive. If your drive doesn't have the hole, then you'll have to probably take it to a repair shop.
Good Luck!
