I put a new proccessor in to my acer desktop and it turns on but i get no signal on my monitor and the cd drive beeps once every 10 seconds and the hard drive light is at first lit up and then it goes after a few seconds

Rita...Unplug the computer, take your BIOS battery out (make a note of which side is facing up!), wait 15 minutes, replace the battery (make sure it goes in the same way it came out, do not reverse polarity by accident) and reboot. Does that help? If you had this work done on your computer by a service, contact them with this problem. They should have tested the unit before sending back to you.

It sounds like either your monitor or video card inside the computer is bad.

If the monitor is showing the "No Input Signal" message then the video card inside the computer is bad. The monitor is ok otherwise it would not be able to display the No Input Signal message.

When you plug in the power cord is there any lights whatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of the power cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear the DvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for a second or two? If so the computer is trying to boot or may have booted, but the screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with the laptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issue when you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problem is with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and take note of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short).

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, then Press and Hold the power button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in and hit the power button to see if it boots.

Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of the memory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Usually a 10 second beep is an issue with RAM not detected/installed or an issue with CPU

Reset the cmos usualy a jumper, or remove the batery for 10 min, it might be a videocard problem, try another videocard. It might be a memoryproblem.
If you hear bleeds google for biosbeebs and that will show you wich bleeb is what error.
If all else fails change processor and powersuply or finaly the motherboard.

There may be problem in Monitor or VGA Card. When you Turn on PC the Monitor light is green after 10 second if It will be orange . It means your monitor is alright . but problem in you VGA Card.

• When the PC turn on there is any beep.
• If no beep then your RAM is alright.
• Problem in VGA Card.

Your problem is the memory . YOu have to put off the pc and remove the memory card in the slot. Then clean the silver pins in your memory with a rubber eraser. Put it back and see if the BIOS will be prompted on the screen , if not you have to replace the memory.

Try flashing the bios. (google it)

try bios reset, all common problems occur after a major power outage or power spikes... try resetting the bios and it should work fine, if not try replacing the video card and start from there...

just restart it for more than 4 times it will give you screen but your rams are damaged change it .......
