Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

I recently purchased a C4380 All-In-One and will be using it over the next few months in Europe. Can I simply use a plug adapter or do I need a DC power adapter?

If there is a difference in power system you surely need a DC adapter.

No, you will need a step-up transformer (power adapter) and not just the simple plug adapter, as voltage in the US is 110V, while in continental Europe it is 230~250V. You can purchase this at any electronics shop.

Hope that helps. Kindly "accept" this solution if you found it helpful.

Thanks.

Fargo DTC 525 won't power up. One day it is working fine - next day it won't turn on.

Doesn't sound good John. First, ensure there's power to the outlet that the power-supply is plugged into, and make sure the plug fits snuggly. Try a different outlet to be sure. Next, verify that the wall-cord is fully plugged into the power-brick (the AC/DC adapter) - sometimes they're not fully inserted, and it wiggles out just enough over time. Next, if you have a volt-meter, set it for DC and check the output voltage of the AC/DC adapter at the printer-plug end - one probe to the outside/shield, the other to the center pin. You should have voltage here - I believe it's either 18v or 24v.

If none of the above, then you likely have a bad power component inside the machine. Usually when this occurs, it means replacement of the main logic-board of the device. Note, the DTC525 is long out of production, no longer supported by the manufacturer, and does not have drivers available for operating systems beyond Windows XP. Frankly, for a machine this age, it's simply not worth fixing if it requires opening it up.

Good luck - let us know if we can help more.

I bought a Dymo label printer several months ago and just attempted to set it up for use. The ac adapter shows a blinking green light, however there is no light on the printer, and it does not appear that...

If you only purchased it a few months ago then why not return it...? They generally come with 3 year warranties, so unless you bought it 2nd hand you should be fine...

This printer have a problem on HP circuit board. Usually its grounded due to ink waste, or not using it like what you said it took about three months. Here is a tip if your printer HP is still under warranty then you can send or contact to HP Center or the one you buy from it. To be sure that your printer is working back normally.

Purchased in Australia-can I use in USA? Is it dual voltage or can be converted?

Most printers will work quite happily on 110 or 240V but you will need an adapter for the US power point. Try Tandy of **** Smith. Note that the adapter doesn't change the voltage in anyway it just makes the plug fit. There will be a sticker or engraved fine print next to the power socket or on the bottom of your devices that will say what voltages it is compatible with. If you're unsure don't take the risk.Have a great trip!
