Dual-channel DDR technology doubles the bandwidth of your system memory and hence boost the system performance to out perform any memory existing solutions in the market. System bottlenecks are eliminated with balanced architecture and peak bandwidths up to 6.4GB/s.

The board is only spec'd for DDR400 RAM. Putting faster in mostly will work, but you will NOT double the speed. Stick with what the board was designed for, and save a little money.

Replacement motherboard for my ASUS P4c800 Deluxe motherboard

The socket 478 platforms are becomming less in demand yet still a viable platform. You do have options in replacing this motherboard such as Ebay: They are a little bit expensive in my opinion but still cheaper than a complete system upgrade.

Here is another option for you to consider at quite a lower cost. I have built many systems with BIOSTAR motherboards and have been very happy with the quality and price. The only difference here is there is no AGP video card expansion slot. If you are gamming or using video intensive applications with an older AGP video card you will need to upgrade to a PCI Express video card. If not this mother board has onboard video and does not require a video card at all. I hope this helps you solve your problem.

P.S. Any Intel based socket 478 motherboard should work with your current system. With possible slight variations as noted above.

On board ethernet driver conflict with windows XP

go to the bios settings & there you can disable the onboard LAN ....
so by this you will be able to boot from your hard drive ....

you can go to the bios settings by pressing F2 (or delete key in some PC s ) at the time of the booting (before the OS loads)...
there in bios settings just search for the LAN device & disable it ...

that s all your problem will be solved ....

any doubts reply me
