Stop 0x000000D1 or DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The Stop 0xD1 messages indicates that the system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process IRQL that was too high. Drivers that have used improper addresses typically cause this error.

Possible Resolutions:

• Stop 0xD1 messages can occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If a driver is listed by name, disable, remove, or roll back that driver to confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Using updated software is especially important for backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, DVD playback, and CD mastering tools.

Most Acer laptop graphics cards are not upgradeable. In fact most laptop graphics cards are not upgradeable in general. Usually if it does not say that you can upgrade then it can not be replaced or upgraded, however I would give Acer a call and see if they can do anything for you especially if it's under warranty.

My pinnacle instant dvd recorder freezes. it says burning error when i try to record, then my computer goes to the blue screen and restarts. i use vista. what is going on? why won't it work? the dazzle dvd...

The blue screen is referred to in the industry as BSOD( blue screen of death ) this is a stop screen that is built into Windows to halt on errors whether its a hardware malfunction or incompatibility or software conflicts. Your Dazzle could be faulty or the software is causing the halt screen. This is a major problem with Vista. I have changed most of my computers from Vista back to XP because my Dazzle and new video cam won't run on Vista but runs excellent on the same machine once switched over to XP. Good luck and fell free to Google BSOD for more info.

sounds like might be a bad card,

alternatively your system ram might be giving you grief, i had major BSOD issues with my computer and ram tested fine, upon switching sockets that the ram was in i found that it was actually good ram, bad ram socket.

Palit Geforce 8800gt 1Gig Glitches + BSOD

Nvidia's recommendations for the 8800GT are 26 Amps (I think) on the 12V rail... Although you would think 20 Amps would be enough, my next step would be to uninstall the video card driver again, get yourself a copy of a program called Driver Cleaner dot net, run the program in safe mode to completely remove all of the Nvidia driver, then reboot into Windows, download the latest WHQL driver for your card from nvidia's website, and see if that fixes it. If not, either try the card in a system with a more powerful power supply, or get a more powerful power supply, and see if your error goes away.

The 4X override and fast-writes can't be supported totally in XP..........

first check the bios version and tyan's compatability site for the video cards support...

if all checks well and the bios has been updated ...

then: try running a ps/2 mouse and verify the usb components is not the error....

be sure you have support for 1.0 and 1.1 usb activated for a mouse support.. and keyboard mouse options on in the bios...

is it a mouse error ... or video card error... check for updates on the manufacturers of the mouse if usb...

8800GTX BSOD when starting games

The power supply is not powerful enough for your computer. You would need a new PSU I would recommend getting a good one from a company like FSP, PC Power and cooling, Silverstone, Xlcio, or OCZ. I am sure that this will fix your problem. I would also suggest that you follow the manufactures guide lines and get a PSU that is rated for at least 450W and supplies at least 30A on the 12V. The 30A rating on the 12V line would usually mean you would need to get a 550W PSU with one 12V rail. Keep in mind that those cards draw more power than most PSUs with multiple 12V rails can handle
