Battery Problems Hi, I have an Casio Exilim EX-Z77 camera and the battery has totally died. I can't even turn the camera on without it beeping and turning right off. I have the usb wire to connect it to my computer, so that it can charge, but when I connect the usb wire and the camera, nothing happens. And I still have no battery power. Is there some way I can charge this camera? I'm the photographer for 4th of July festivities. Help!!

Ok my friends is very easy and let me tell you something wokrs.just take the battery of the camera and any transformer with output 9v put one wire on the (+)and another on the(-) after take you battery and put (+)--(+) and (-) for just 3 o 4 seconds that will reactivate the battery and put it back to the charger ,,,i tried my self and works good luck

I have already suggested the solution with the 9v battery. Happy that it worked. J Pierre

Call customer sevice at 1800-435-7732 and they will send you a new casio battery. there has been many problems with there batteries.

Jpierre's solution (in another thread) was right on the money. Touch the positive (+)end of the 9v battery to the positive (+) end of the camera battery.Leave them touching for a few seconds (10 seconds should be more thansufficient). Seems these lithium-ion batteries are subject to a'digital memory.' Subjecting it to a volt surge almost three timeshigher seems to clear it.

In short, it works like a charm. Thanks jpierre

I have the Casio Exilim EX-Z77 and i just bought a usb cable to charge it on my computer but, for some reason its not doing nothing... nothin is blinking at all... any help?

The EX-Z77 is not a battery charger. It does not charge via the USB port. You need to remove the battery from the camera and put it into the supplied battery charger.

If you need a manual, you can download one at
http://support.casio.com/pdf/001/EXZ77_e.pdf
The battery charging instructions begin on page 36.

How do you take the battery out of a Casio Exilim ex-z77 camera?

p.41 of the following link describes how to take the battery out:
http://support.casio.com/pdf/001/EXZ77_e.pdf
Open the battery door with the screen facing up to the ceiling.
Slide the 'stopper' right and this releases the Li-ion rectangular battery.
Pull it out.

recharge and replace with another battery if you have a spare.

I hope this helps.

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.

Can't repair by yourself.
It's need repair camera machine shutter.
