Question about Toshiba Televison & Video
Try and clean the inside of it out with compressed air and cu-tips. Remove the cover and open the cd tray > Unplug the dvd from the power source > Use the compressed air to blow out the inside of the dvd really well > Use a small light source to look inside to make sure there is nothing caught in the spindle like dirt, hair, dust, etc you need to look really close > Take the cu-tips and one by one dip them in a small amount of alcohol and clean the inside of the carriage and around the spindles and gears > Clean the optical lens also > Repeat this numerous times and with blowing the inside out and cleaning with cu-tips > Let air dry for 1 minute and replace the cover and plug back into a power source and check the disc (make sure your discs are clean and scratch free also). If this still does not solve the problem, it could be that your spindle is going bad. The good news is that it is not that expensive to replace. Hope this helps and let me know if you need further assistance.
