M512 MB card dosen't work (by 2 users)

I recently purchased two new M512 MB cards for my Fujifilm FinePix 330 camera. The problem is that the first card took only three pictures before giving me the message "Write Error", the second card never functioned, only giving me the message "card not initialized". What can be done to repair this problem?

I have the same problem.

I have the same problem. I bought the camera on ebay, and was able to use a 16mg card we had here, but after finding out the camera would only read up to 516 and finding one, it won't read or format it. I tried it in another camera and the card works fine, I even formatted it in another fuji camera and tried it again in the 330 and nothing.

I bought a 256MB card a few years back and had the same problem. I had to upgrade the camera's firmware to version 1.77. I went to Fuji's site under archived models and downloaded the zip file for it. now my card works pretty well... only problem now with the camera is that it likes to eat more and more batteries.. age perhaps???
