Both of my instruction books are in a foreign language. I need to know how to download images to my computer

Some times things just happen, click on start ,printer and devices , right click on printer image, click on trouble shooter and follow instructions, if the worst happens a uninstall and reinstall should fix it.

You need to identify what "unit" you are referring to. That usually means identifying the manufacturer/brand and model number. By Googling that information, you might find a manual on the manufacturers website or a manual available from one of the manual depository websites. Some are free, some are not. If the manufacturer's site is in a foreign language, try the translation features of Google. Yes, Google can usually supply a pretty fair translation of foreign sites. However, you are likely chasing the wind if you try to translate an entire operations manual using such. The manuals are usually PDF documents with images and that poses a challenge for translation software. If you are referring to having an operating systems which is putting text up on your screen in a foreign language, that is an entirely different question.

On the middle right top of your facebook page there is a small triangle please click on it and you will see menu then click on settings the fourth from down .click General on the right than you will see option language on the left .change it to English and enjoy. Regards

Push the Menu button. Scroll to the Setup menu. Language on that menu. Unfortunately the menus and everything else will be it the foreign language until you reset it. If you have trouble and can't figure out or find someone who knows the language your camera is set to, contact the Foreign Language Department at your local college or university.

not solved - but not going to pay for an instruction book when it should be a 'downloadable' item by sharper image

1. First of all, you must completely uninstall your current driver (with foreign language).
2. Download Epson R290 English Language Driver from here :

3. Unplug your printer USB Cable from your PC
4. Run : Setup.exe
5. Follow the instruction, and thats it. You've English Language now :)

I have tried this and it worked :)

I was able to download the manual from www.vivitar.com
From their homepage
Select: Support
Select: Vicam 8400 Under "vivicam cameras"
Then another pull down menu shows up asking for the language you want.
Select your language, then click "Go"
Select: Manual (it's a number 1)
Look for a pop-up window asking you to save it or open it. I recommend saving it to your desktop. The manual is in PDF. Do you have PDF?
By the way it took me a couple tries to get it download.
