Question about Combination Televisions
Only one problem: The DVD played normally today, but when I tried to eject the DVD disk, first with my remote and then by pressing the eject button on the side of the TV: nothing happened. No noise, nothing,
This has been an A++ TV since January, 2006, when I bought it brand new.
This has been my first problem with it.
This television set, unfortunately, is out of warranty.

I hate to be the one who tells you this, but you have one of those TV sets that are controlled by a single processor (as most combos have even LCD combos) and that processor may have gone bad. This is why you have so many problems at one time. I would suspect the the main processor board has a problem. You may want to take this to a TV repair shop, because there is so little you can do for this problem since if it is the main processor you will need equipment to troubleshoot this problem and to remove and install the component with the problem. Taking it to a shop is your best bet.
I hope this helps,

SOURCE: DVD Stuck in TV/DVD Combo
This may not sound technical, but I stuck the end of a paper clip into the opening until I could feel the dvd.....jiggled it a bit, and out it popped while pushing the eject button!!!

On a unit I checked with this same symptom, removing the top cover allows the unit to stay on and operate normally. There is some sort of sensor at the left middle of the chassis, which, when unblocked by any opaque object, allows the unit to remain on. A temporary fix (not advisable) would be to replace the top cover with a piece of clear plastic or taut saran wrap (no vent holes needed). It's unclear exactly where/what that sensor is from a cursory test. This is a work in progress on someone else's machine that I lack full access to.

SOURCE: Can not access setup
hit vol down on the tv and hold then with your universal remote puse 1. This will set the tv back to factory defaults and give u acess to all cable channels.

Either the drive belt for the drawer transport is worn out or the drive pulley has a crack in it and cant drive the belt. Sounds like a trip to the service shop is in order unless you are into taking it apart and investigating yourself. Belt will cost about $3.00.The drive pulley can usually be carfully glued.Making sure not to get any glue into the motor.Hope this helps.
