Why does only center channel speaker work?

Try running a sound test. You should have a test mode that will play a sound through each speaker to see if you have them hooked up correctly. If you still only hear it from the center, unhook the center and connect it to another speaker output, say right front. Run the test again. If you hear something from that center speaker, its the speakers. If not, try each speaker output to make sure the results are the same. If so, you may have an internal board problem.
Good Luck!

Can't hook up to a flat screen tv

I can only guess as to the nature of your problem, but I'll try. If you're trying to hook up your amplfier and its a 5.1, or 6.1 amp you need to hook up the audio by using the orange output on the flat screen, it may be labeled "coax" or "hd audio out" or surround out, this is the one wire you need to reproduce the surrond sound with left, right, center and rear speakers, and also the sub woofer. The other outputs on your tv will be red and white or red and black, these are the analog audio out and you plug them into your amplifer too, but they won't be 5.1 sound, although your sub woofer will still work. I hope I have helped some.

All speakers work on sound level test but i have no music coming from rear, center and sub when playing 5.1 dvd. also i am unable to use any of the surrond sound modes. richard

What cable did you hook up your dvd? The 5.1 sound works only with optical cable or HDMI. Check in the input settings wich one is selected. With the analog cable ( Stereo RCA) is not working. Good luck!

Left channels do not work when using surround modes

Ohhhhhh, so it has NEVER worked for YOU and it needed fixing when you got it. That changes everything. And you don't have the manual??

You can find the manual on Retrevo.com. Just register and download it. You're going to need it to make use of this unit anyway.
Make sure everything is connected correctly.

Look it over and play around with it. Speaker setup needs to be done before anything else. Did you get the microphone that comes with it? If not, go to page 23 and start there.

Kenwood VR6070 speaker/amp problems

unit needs repair. Look at the b speakers. Conect a speaker or two to the B position. If you have no sound than your surrond sound is ok and the unit is bad. Sound comes directly into the b speaker and not threw the surrond system. My 6070 has a cold start up problem. no sound. time to purchase a new one. to costly to repair.

Surrond sound

For Stereo Mode (Front L & R Speaker), you must plug RCA cables (match up red and white) from Output on DVD player to DVD Input on the back of the receiver. Then with speaker wire, run from receiver speaker output (Front Speakers) to designated speaker (make sure + and - match up to both input and output). As for hooking up surround sound, I'm currently trying to figure that one out with just using the L, R and Center. I don' t want wire running all over the place just for rears. Hope this helps
