Tried changing the refresh rate, no difference.

I have the same problem. If I run it at 800X600, it's fine. Anything higher than that shifts the screen to the right about 1/3 of the way.

Try setting the refresh rate to 60 Hz. (Maybe 75).
Is it xp?
Right click an empty part of the screen, properties, under monitor (I think; I'm on Vista) you can choose the refresh rate.
Most LCD's should be at 60 Hz.

does the screen appear distorted;does it move as you shift left/right/up/down? IF THIS IS TRUE, YOU PROBABLYHAVE THE RESOLUTION SET WRONG....RIGHT CLICK ANYWHERE ON THE SCREEN;PROPERTIES;SETTINGS; ADJUST SLIDEBAR TO PROPER RESOLUTION FOR YOUR MONITOR

My desk top icons has dissapeared when i restore my pc what can i do to show my desk top?

well, if you are able to see your taskbar but not the desktop icons than right click on desktop screen and click on view and select show desktop icons.

and if you don't see anything on your screen than press (ctrl + shift + escape) together, it will open up a task manager, then click on file at the top and click new task, type explorer.exe and click okey.. this will help you in getting your icons back on your desktop screen.

There is a black 2 1/2inch bar on leftside of screen how do i adjust is?

if your lucky it's just your H-center is off tilt. to check this Press the menu button on your monitor. scroll through the options till you see Horizontal-center option. select this setting and move the screen to the left. The entire screen should start shifting to the left and fill in the screen. now if you do this and you get a black bar on the right. Center the screen where you have the same amount of black on both sides of the screen. scroll through your menu till you see the H-size. increasing this will fill in the black area. Hope this helps.

I have a 1998 Gt Aggressor 26" bicycle. When shifting in the large gears, it hesitates before shifting or does not shift at all and just clicks. Can you help?

sound like the shift adjustment need moving or the cable to be adjusted from gear shift to the cogs there are a couple of ways to do this first select the low gear so the cable is slack and then look where the cable connects to the cog shift if you loosen the nust holding the cable and pull a little cable through retighten and try shifting.. if this doesnt work look at the way the guide moves the chain across if you see the guide stopping before the chain goes onto the cog look closely and you will see two small screws on the arm one is to stop the guide going to far to the right and one to the left look at the one on the right that shlould be the one for the transit to the large gear cog if you undo the screw half a turn then try the gear shift again see of it move far enough to put the chanin on the cog if not undo a little more.. these screws work for both the small and large cog shifting so the same can be done for the small cog if the chain keeps coming off.. Good Luck A

Alignment will not work corectly, still have blue and yellow show

Make sure the Size and Linearity adjustments are not cranked too high. This can affect the ability to move side to side. Center green first and then red and blue. Some pattern generators can produce a horiz shift. Also, check for a horiz start position adjustment. If blue is way off from Red and Gren then you have a bad amp.

4.14.1 Understanding Viewing Features
Your LCD HDTV features four viewing modes and Picture-In-Picture (PIP)/Picture-by-Picture (POP) mode.
You can switch viewing modes using the remote control.
4.14.2 Viewing Modes
Normal Mode
The original 4:3 aspect ratio (1.33:1 source) is preserved, so black bars are
added to the left and right of the display image. Standard TV broadcasts are
displayed with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio. Movies in 4:3 Aspect Ratio may be referred
to as pan-and-scan or full frame. These movies were originally filmed in 16:9
(widescreen), and then modified to fit a traditional TV screen (4:3).
Wide Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full-frame movie in this mode,
the display image is stretched proportionately to fill the TV screen.
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1 source) program or movie, the
display image fills the TV screen. If you are watching a widescreen
(1.85:1 or 2.35:1 source) program or movie, there will still be black
bars at the top and bottom.
Zoom Mode
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1, 1.85:1, or 2.35:1 source)
program or movie, the display image is zoomed proportionally to fill the
width of the screen. The top and bottom are cut off to remove most of
the source material’s black bars. This mode is good for programs or
movies with sub-titles.
Panoramic Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full frame movie in this mode,
the 4:3 Aspect Ratio (1.33:1 source) display image is stretched
horizontally on the left and right sides to fill the TV screen. The center
of the image is not stretched.

Note: Viewing modes are saved based on input. For example, you lasted watched a DVD in widescreen
mode and then watched TV in standard mode. When you switch back to DVD input, the viewing mode
will return to widescreen.

Horizontal view on screen will not re-center

You want to locate Position or Horiz Position from the Menu screen. Press menu first then Up or Down to select the item you want then Left or Right, I can't be more specific as all monitors are different - but there isn't a single button to center. You could also try the different input settings (Analog, Digital, etc) if the Autoselect isn't working properly.

Display is off-center

Try the Auto adjust button on the monitor buttons first.
If the entire picture of the computer is showing you can try to shift and stretch the picture through the menu button.
