How can i install intuos gd 0608-u on pc running windows8.0?

The first thing you have to do is upgrade your Windows from version 8.0 to 8.1. Version 8.0 just has too many bugs plus it shouldn't automatically update anymore Check this MS page out.

Install the latest Windows 8 1 Update Windows Help

Here are the bare bones manual installation steps from the page:
Install the update manually

Make sure your PC is plugged in and connected to the Internet using a non-metered connection. Don't disconnect, unplug, or turn off your PC while the update is being installed.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap
Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right
corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up,
click Settings, and then click Change PC
settings.)

Tap or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click
Windows Update.

Tap or click Check now.

If updates are found, tap or click View details.

In the list of updates, select the update containing
KB 2919355, and then tap or click Install.

If you're prompted for an administrator password or
confirmation, enter the password or provide
confirmation.

After the installation is complete, restart your PC and
sign in.

Note: If you don't see KB 2919355 in the list of available updates, you might be missing one or more required updates. Follow the previous steps to check for updates, install all important updates, particularly KB 2919442, restart your PC, and then check for KB 2919355 again.

Once you successfully update to Windows 8.1 we can tackle your Wacom products. There have been plenty of documented problems getting the Wacom Intuos Drivers working in Windows 8.x. Just google on "Wacom Intuos Driver Windows 8.1"

First get the latest Intuos driver version from the Wacom website.

I couldn't find any separate drivers for the Wacom mouse

Intuos 4 pen clicking while hovering

You may have an issue with the drivers. If you're using the drivers on the CD, try updating to the latest drivers:

http://cdn.wacom.com/U/drivers/IBMPC/pro/WacomTablet_635w3.exe

If you're using the latest drivers and the issue persists, try rolling back your drivers to the previous release:

Wacom Intuos 3 problems

Hi Bengref
Just talked to WACOM USA about a similar (but not exactly the same) problem with my Intuos 3. One of their procedures was;

go to the ALL Programs directory,

go to the the WACOM TABLET directory

open the WACOM Tablet Properties window

click on the "About" button

while holding down the CTRL key, click on the "Diagnose" button

click on the "recalibrate" button

Another procedure

go to the All Programs Directory

go to the WACOM Tablet Directory

click on the :WACOM Table Preference File Utility"

Under "My Preferences" click on remove

Good Luck

When I go into certian programs like inkscape or the newer Gimp my wacom pen wont draw, but it will select items. yet if I use an older gimp 2.0 it works fine I have the intuos 3 ptz -431w actually it did...

I didn't solve it myself (a lady named Linda deserves the credit) ... but the solution at the following URL worked for me when I encountered the same problem with inkscape0.47 and intuos 4 wacom tablet pen:

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

The winning answer came courtesy of Mr Benedikt Schmitt of Wacom Europe, who offered the following solution: from the Windows Device Manager, disable the “Wacom Virtual Hid Driver” device. (Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Device Manager, find the driver, right-click it and choose “Disable”.) One reboot later (welcome to Windows-land, circa 2008?), everything works as desired. Pressure and tilt sensitivity inside Photoshop still work, and the pen functions just fine in the rest of the Windows desktop. The absolute mapping makes it an absolute pleasure to point quickly and precisely. It makes my laser mouse feel rather clumsy navigating a large 24′ screen!

Wacom Intuos 3 unintentional double click

I've been having the same problem and I think I just figured it out.

I'm using a Wacom Intuos 3 on Windows Vista. I think one of the Windows automatic updates caused this problem. I've just been putting up with it for way too long when I finally thought to check the driver.

I started by going to the control panel and typing in "mouse" in the search box. Then I clicked on "change mouse click settings". When I selected the "hardware" tab across the top I noticed that Wacom Mouse was not highlighted. I selected it and clicked on the "properties" button. I clicked on the "driver" tab across the top and clicked on the "driver details" button. Then I selected the wacommousefilter.sys driver and chose "ok". After that my double click problem has stopped.

You can also download the newest driver by going here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/drivers.php

I hope this helps anyone still having this problem.

The mouse on my Wacom Intuos tablet is not working.

I know this question was asked a long time ago, but I just had this similar problem and found a solution to it.

1. Install the latest Wacom drivers for your device
2. Open the Wacom Tablet Properties from the Start menu.
3. Click on the Mouse tool
4. Click on the Mapping tab halfway down the screen
5. Change the mode from Mouse to Pen
