Question about Motorola Mobility MOTOKRZR K1 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Ring Tones I have a Moto Krzr K1 from Rogers. I want to use my own music for ring tones which I know the phone can do. However Rogers has this feature programed out. Does anyone know how to get rid of Rogers block on the phone features?

My krzr wont ring on incoming calls any more and i have tried everything i can find in the menus to get it to work.

If you try to change ringtones, do you hear the new ring tones? If not it could be your ringer speaker has gone bad.

How can i move music to ring tone file

You don't need to move the music tone to a ring tone file in order to use it?!

You can edit your profiles, when choosing the ringtone for any feature i/e phone - Browse, which will show you all tones including your music folder and it will allow you to choose any saved music tones here

Song as ringtone

I used to have a krzr k1 model phone. I know that I had to use a song that was 192 kps or under and in a mp3 format. The music file that you have that you want to use for a ringtone - is it an mp3 file? I know that some phones can only support mp3 files.

Using ring tones on my Krzr

Are you using mp3 files?

I use them and most of the factory phone sounds seem to be mp3 too. Not all mp3 files seem to work though, I've had to try several - could be worth using a sound editor like audacity to get the sound file details correct.

Apply mp3 songs as ring tone

I had to edit some of my songs on my PC to make them shorter to be applied as a ringtone. I made them about 20-30 seconds long so they would work. WHen I put entire songs on the phone it wouldn't work.
