The problem may be in one of several places, here's a list of things to try, starting with the easiest and progressing to more difficult:
1. Run your hand around the bottom of the pool in the dishwasher looking for paper or cellophane that may be covering the screen of the drain. 2. Disconnect the drain hose from under the sink (get a bucket and rags) looking for a clog at that point of connection. Run the dishwasher drain cycle while you have this hose pointed into a bucket - if nothing comes out, the problem is between points 1 and 2. 3. Partially remove the dishwasher so you can get to the drain hose where it connects to the dishwasher. Temporarily put another drain hose on it, with the other end in a bucket. Run the drain cycle of the dishwasher. If it comes gushing out, the drain hose is clogged. If it still won't drain, your will need some disassembly of the drain & pump. good luck, Al K

DIM1524W water box is not filling all the way

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve

Dishwasher not working.... when i close the dishwasher and turn it on i can not hear any water running and there is a pool of water at the bottom that will not drain

Hello, How long has your dishwasher been do this? Have you washed dish's in it? Also, these German made dishwasher run on less than 2 1/2 gallons of water. These German manufactured dishwasher machines run really quite. Because of the German water conservancies laws. They limit the amount of water dishwasher and washing machine can use. Also, there is no storage hot water system in there homes, it on demand hot water. You can't hear the motor running and about the only thing one can hear is maybe the water washing the dishes.

Now, the water at the bottom of the dishwasher, if the drain isn't connected up under is the sink drain and trap area or the garbage disposable in the sink. but some place lower on the drain pipe. You will not have a spiffing effect on the the bottom of the dishwasher, it the same with washing machines. One the discharge pump starts sucking air, it will not drain the dishwasher. The siffen effect works if the water is below the outlet for the drain. Example: Home owner have the new washing running and continue fill with water. Why, because the drain pipe end is below the the bottom of the washing machine tub. It fill up with water and siffen action continues emptying the tube will it still filling. One heck of a water bill.

Water keeps filling even if dishwater is off or if the door is open, the only way to stop it is from turning tap valve off below the sink.

Your dishwasher water fill valve is defective. Remove power from the DW. Remove the bottom toe kick panel. The water valve has the incoming water line connected to it.Remove the wires from the valve. If the water stops entering you have a bad timer. If it makes no difference you have a bad valve. The valve is a replaceable part. The timer is a replaceable part.

Dishwasher fills but arms wont spin

sounds like a sticky or broken valve. these units have electronically operated valves to control water flow. its very likely that one of these has failed.

Water keeps running into dishwasher causing overflow

I had a diswasher with thils problem several years ago. The problem was wiith the plastic float at the bottom. It had hardend greese buildup that kept the float from moving freely. Removing the float and cleanning fixed the problem.

Water fills up dishwasher after complete maybe a day or two later

Sound like the hot water sonenoid is stuck in the open position. Locate this solenoid and tap it lightly with a small hammer while the hot water is open. If it does not stop it will beneficial to have this part replaced. I hope this will help.

Dishwasher won't fill

Hello. It sounds like you just need a new water fill valve. Also, check under the sink to make sure that no one turned off the water supply. Also there are certain models that have a safety switch that is under the unit which is triggered by water over flowing into the bottom behind the kickplate which will keep it in the drain cycle until the water is removed. If you can take this off check to see if water is under neath it. If there is, remove it with a wet/dry vacuum or a towel and get back to me.

Inlet/ drain light keeps flashing

You have a leak and the bottom pan is full of water. You can remove the cover at the bottom front of the dishwasher and see if the bottom pan is filled with water.
