-   I have had this camera for 1 day and put the battery's in and nothing so I go and get a new set guess what NOTHING took a volt meter and checked the battery's all were super fine shape. After checking it out I think the power switch the on and off slide is not working. If it don't work what good is it so I took it all apart then up in my lap comes my dog lost half the parts so I put it in the trash can end of story.

-   Brand new batteries. Just got it today for christmas. Took about 10 pictures, the Batteries were still fully charged. Turned the camera off because I wasnt using it, got back from my Grandparents and took it home to see my pictures. Plugged in the USB and installed all of the software, went to turn the camera on, and it wouldnt. Plugged it into the computer, STILL wont turn on. What do I do?!

-   It would turn on momentarily but all it would say is "change batteries" and then turn off. Put in a fully unused set of AA batteries (the type required). When I would go to turn it on, the on/off light would be on but only when I hold down the on/off button. -   athenebelle

-   Camera turned on but battery was low. Turned on twice with low battery and camera turned off twice by itself. Then plugged camera in and it wouldn't turn on. Put freshly charged batteries in and still won't turn on. What did I do and how can I undo it?-   aburenin

My Cannon Power Shot A590 had it's lens replaced when it was returned to me, the computer would not longer acknowledge that I had connected the camera in order to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer. What do I do?
