Yeah, when I hit the source button it gets stuck on dtv and It won't come off dtv no matter how many times the source button is pushed. I cant turn it off, change volume, or anything. No amount of button pushing matters. Its the black screen of death. The only thing that gets a response it unplugging it.

When ever television is turned off. The only two sources available are TV & DVD. Does not matter whether you use the remote or the button on the set. I have cable HD service using the color imputs, very aggrevatting.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Tv is stuck in dvd mode

The on l y way I've fixed this problem is by using a universal remote control. Using the input button, you should be able to switch it back to whatever mode you need. Hopefully your television is a major manufacturer.

My Philips LCD TV (26PF7321) is stuck in DTV mode, cannot access most menus, please help?

I would contact Phillips customer service by phone and see if this a issue common to this set and if there is a way to either do a hard reset or a software upgrade to resolve this problem.

Mintek -dtv-265-d stuck in DVD mode

These units have had a failure in either logic board or the main board. The only way to repair these units is to get replacement boards and see if this repairs the problem. You can try to source these parts at e-bay. Use the search engine, plug in the make of you television model number, and part number of the board you think you need for the repair. The search engine will bring up all available parts for you.You can also try this website for parts. I hope this information is of some help to you with your problem.

Samsung LE40R73BD DTV freezing, wont chnage channel

i've just some digging around and found that you can access a service menu and perform a reset which sorted the issue for me.

Access the service menu by pressing, in order, whilst the tv is in stand-by mode:

when the tv comes back on you will have a service menu; select option 12 (reset) the tv will then switch off.

this will reset your TV back to factory defaults.

turn tv back on and you should be prompted to go through the plug and play setup again - go through everything and then all should start working OK (it did for me)
