I have a White sewing machine model number 2037. Last night I cleaned the bobbin area and put some oil in it. Today I started sewing and I noticed that the thread under the fabric is loose. I have adjust the thread tension from 0-8 and I am having no luck. I am ready to throw it out. Please help. Thank you, Rebecca

I also am looking for the bobbin # for the White 2037.  I seem to have three different bobbin types in my sewing box and am not sure which is the correct one.  The manual does not give a number/spec for the bobbin.  Even if someone could describe the bobbin, ie. does it have a single round hole, or two, or is the whole not round, etc.  Thanks.

Long story short: the bobbin style is 15J.

I also have a White 2037 and was trying to figure out how to get new bobbins. I searched through the manual, on the box, around the machine, and alas, no information! So, I took one of the bobbins to the sewing machine shop and compared. Needless to say, I got the wrong one. So, I called the company and asked. They told me: Singer 15. So I went and bought some of those. They were loose and short in the bobbin case, so they jumped around, the top thread got all caught up in the bobbin and my sewing got jammed up. So I went back to the sewing shop and looked some more. I found the 15J, which to me is indistinguishable from the original bobbins except that maybe it is just a tad "snugger" in the bobbin case. However, now all of my sewing, regardless of bobbin, old or new, is having the "top thread jamming up in the bobbin" problem. I really hope this problem doesn't persist!

Rebecca, I don't know if you ever received a solution, but after my experience with my White 2038, I would advise you to do exactly what you said. "Throw it out". I've struggled for a week with a new machine, found parts missing after opening the box and generally feel ripped off. I am throwing mine out! I purchased a Singer yesterday and it is sewing beautifully with no problems.

Good luck.

Need extra bobbins for Brother sewing maching model:LX2500 product code: 885-X11

Search for:

Make Model bobbins

There are probably a lot of vendors online, ie Amazon... Also, a sewing machine repair shop or Brother dealer would have what you need.

Top thread is fine bottom thread all jumbled

I've had the same problem - jumbled threads on the underneath side of fabric. My solution was this: I had recently purchased new bobbins and they turned out to be the wrong size. I went back to the ones that came with the machine and the problem disappeared. So, have you recently purchased new bobbins? They might not be the correct ones. Funny, in all of the posted possible solutions below, not one mentioned this possibility. turns out my new ones were not as tall and were slightly concave instead of taller and flat. Check your machine manual for the correct bobbin part number.

Bobbin jumps out of place while I'm sewing and jumbles the thread. I took it to a repairman, it worked for about 3 weeks. Now, same old problem.

I had a similar problem but found it only happened when I used plastic bobbins. I've been using metal bobbins and haven't had the problem again. Hope this helps.
