First you want to make sure and check if the problem is common for other inputs as well (dvd ,player antenna A or B)
or if you have a cable or satellite box sometimes you may have problem with those too( reset them by uplugged them too)
if evething ok check tv menu and see in audio secction if speakers are not turne off.if still you have a problem the audio amp inside the set its having a problem.

No picture 2 days ago power went out thru out the neighborhood, once power came back TV worked great. today, go to power on TV, here it clicking, but no picture... cable box working, cable working in 2nd...

It sounds like there`s a sort on the secondaries of the power supply. Before the power went off, did you ever turn the tv off by unplugging it?? In other words, did you turn the power off completely to the set or leaving it in standby?? if you always left it in stby, it will be the capacitors in the power supply, they dry out if the power is always on, so they will need replacing. If you did turn off the power, then I think you`ll find that the power cut had nothing to do with the fault you`ve got now, it will be the Line Output Stage which has failed or gone short circuit. SAMSUNG 52'' PCN5425R TV WONT POWER ON

when the timer light is turn ON, tv is telling you that lamp will be going out soon, is basically a hour meter, it just reach the limit of hours that tv haves program of use for a lamp and that you can reseted by:
1.- taking the lamp out nad in again, that way tv will detect there is a new lamp. If not.
2.- folow the instructions: http://www.fixyourdlp.com/blog/2007/02/15/resetting-your-samsung-dlp-lamp-hour-meter-counter/

No sound on my 32'' Insignia LCD HDTV

you might try checking the sap (secondary audio programming) option in your tv if it has one make sure it is turned off. if it is off or does not have that option you will most likely have to take it to a repair shop. i would not try to fix it my self as you will do more harm than good.

Black screen and no sound

I realized that there is a 90 day warrantee on parts and a 30 day limited warrantee on labor for the  repairs that were done. As I stated, the original problem was the picture shrinking after a few minutes of the set being on. The repair firm took my control board with them. When they came back to install the repaired control board in my set there was a load spark during the installation, after which I had a black screen and no sound.  The repair firm took my set them and installed a "CAP Kit", a STRM6511, and a "D1881". The set worked perfectly until two days ago.
I called the repair firm an they are coming out this Thursday to check out my TV.   I am hoping the problem is related to the failure of one of the parts installed to fix a similar problem which occurred after the sparking incident.

Delay to see the picture

Your power supply is going south, I have an old sony with the same problem. The voltage level drops and does not have enough 'kick' to start. It will work better when it is warm. The module will need to be replaced.
