Recently given a secondhand Hoover 205 w/machine, but no usermanual. Initially working OK, but it went out-of-balance on spin. Now nothing. No activity on any cycle setting. Have checked power point - OK. Have set Left-hand control knob to Reset. Still nothing.
Your advice please. Also, is a usermanual available for download or e-mail?

filter blockage, or the pump has failed/seized, machine CANNOT spin
while it CONTAINS WATER, the door interlock will not open for the same
reason,WATER in drum.
manually drain excess water into a bowl now
1 clean filter, 2 check pump for objects that prevent impeller working may still need pump if seized
I am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years, and this at first sounds like motor carbons, the belt needs to be placed on from the bottom motor pulley first the onto the drum pulley last, not easy to describe in words, anyway start with the carbons, then if they ok there is a module (main PCB circuit board) normally on Hoover washes located top of machine inside front right corner in a plastic casing, look for burn marks.
work safe with electrics, always unplug first

start with checking the other solenoid, the conditioner one, it may be that that is not working, and double check the cold one, remove the two wires and check for a circuit, it may be actually filing up initially with hot water without realising it,
always work with safety remove the plug before removing panels etc
if i have helped rate me please
