Control Lock means that the entire dishwasher is locked, for child safety purposes. It's normally cleared by holding the "No Heat Dry" button in for 4 seconds or more. It is locked again by the same procedure -- holding the "No HEat Dry" button for 4 seconds (or more).

Lost you on the Live Session. Have you checked the bottom plate/panel? We need to determine the error code by entering the diagnostics cycle. How you enter it varies by model. the machine's tech sheets should be located on the dishwasher somewhere, usually on the back side of the bottom kickplate.

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
I understand by reading your post which indicates it is a Whirlpool dishwasher you appear to have a concern with, "Normal" light is flashing (controls are not locked)...however if you could provide the model number I'd be better equipped and most certainly able to help without generalizing.
I don't know what has been suggested to you to this point (your post indicates it is 3 days old) as I don't have access to prior dialog with other experts. I will say one thing in common with most Whirlpool dishwashers with a senario of this nature means a stuck key in the touchpad.
Or as Whirlpool words it...
**Won't Run and LED Above Key(s) is Flashing Rapidly - Stuck key or short circuit(s) in keypad, or in control's input lines that read the keys.**
Hopefully you can appreciate there are many variations even within the "Whirlpool" brand name machines. I'll watch for your reply and try and help going forward. Thank you.
