Question about Mitsubishi WS-65513 65" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

I loose picture on my big screen

When I turn on the TV it will work for 30 seconds, then the picture will shut off. The screen is still on, and black. Give it 2 more seconds the screen turns blue and says cable in the top left corner. Turn the unit off, wait ten seconds, turn it on and the pictures comes back and the whole process starts over. Once and a while after the screen turns blue I would have to reset the system to get the picture to return, but lately there is nothing I can do to keep the picture on.

My tv is shutting itself off after an hour or two of operating. The green power light is still on when the screen goes blank. I have waited a few minutes once after the shut down and dark static lines will become visible. But mostly I shut the tv off with the remote and power back on and it comes right back on. Then it will shut down again after 20 to 30 minutes. This would appear to be a thermal problem. I pulled the tv away from the wall and pointed a fan to the rear. This did not help.

TV shuts off after an hour or two of operation. Green power light is still on. Left TV on for a few minutes and dark static lines formed. Mostly i turn the power off with the remote and power back on. TV comes back on and works fine for 20 to 30 minutes and then shuts down again. Appears to be a thermal problem. I moved the TV away from the wall and pointed a fan at the back of the TV. Same problems.

Bad voltage regulator - BA09FP requires a bit of tech experience to replace, but its relatively easy. It took me about 1 hour to replace mine. If you need clarification on this, email me at Doin12volt at yahoo
