For future reference, the manual can be found at this link

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=CDXGT610UI

On page 10 of the manual, the controls for mass storage device playback are as follows:

3 (REP)
4 (SHUF)

Press 3 or 4 repeatebly until the proper selection is displayed.

You can select Repeat Track or Album with 3.
You can select Shuffle Album or Device with 4.

To turn off the repeat or shuffle, click the appropriate button (3) or (4) until Off appears then the songs are played in the order they are found on the device.

Guys, I have a CDX GT610, the issue is that is

hi marco, the problem seems with the switches on the face. make sure that ALL switches have a "click" sound when pressed down. if not then that switch needs to be replaced. faulty switches can cause the face functions to work erratically. to try another route use your unit with the wireless remote control to check if all functions work well. cheers.

I want to know if my sound card has only one or tow stereo output its a lenovo g570

According to the specs:

Connections & Expansion
Interfaces 4 x USB 2.0 VGA LAN Headphone output Microphone input
Memory Card Reader 5 in 1 ( SD Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card )
This means you only have on Headphone Output. However check to see if they are able to use USB solutions as I know there are speakers that can be run through USB.

I was given a car as a gift(used) and it came with a Sony CDX-454RF 10-Disc CD Changer. I have no clue how to work this thing or even how to turn it on. Of course there is no manual in the car. But I would...

There should be a separate controller for the changer in the vehicle. The radio will have to be set to a certain station in order to listen to it, Somewhere from 88.0 to 90 or so. Try finding the control unit first and see if it plays (it should show the song progressing). If it does, you may be able to seek to find out what station it is playing on.

How to wire a sony cdx-gt640ui in a 1999 dodge intrepid...I get sound with the tuner, but no sound with cd, aux, and usb. I'm assuming its only an incorrect wiring setup...

instead of used the blue wire on the Sony head unit to the car wiring harness use the blue/whit wire

  • Blue - powers on only when am/fm is active
  • Blue/White - powers on when when radio is on am/fm/cd/ ect.

My usb car stereo dosnt play all the songs on my kingston

Not every car stereo can play every song in a usb.

This deppends on how many songs and how many folders you have in your USB, regardless of the USB's capacity. My car stereo for example, can only play about 50 songs pero folder and i think it tops at 9 folders.

Try to organize your music in folders and change the names of the songs taking every "·$&%/&$/)(=)(( Symbol and non regular character out.

Or better, get your car's manual and it might say how many songs it can play. i think mine cant read over 1.5gb. if it doesnt say, you just have to try and work with it till you get it figured out.

The last thing i try and it might work:
Cut everything out of your USB, format it and then paste everything back this refreshes the USB and sometimes it works.

Sorry about my english.

USB/MTP device

The real issue here is Digital Rights Management (DRM).
Most purchased MP3/WMA/AAC songs are protected by a DRM license.
The only players that can play it are those 1) capable of handling the type of DRM and 2) registered with the correct DRM license.
That's why I only buy music through Amazon.com, because the music is not DRM protected, and you can just copy it to your USB thumb drive or any player you own. I do this all the time with a Pioneer car receiver that has USB capability. Works fine.
