Hi,
Oh dear. I think you need to find helpful neighbours to keep things frozen while ths is sorted out.

If the compressor is still running, there can be 2 causes for this.

#1 The compressor is not pumping, but vibrating (making more of a buzzing sound than normal).
This is a realatively quick fix needing just a component replacement.

#2 The refrigerant gas has escaped, so there is nothing to pump.
This is usually impossible to repair on domestic models due to construction methods.

If the compresor is just running normally, then this is what's happened I'm afraid.

Hopefully this information will assist you to take the right action.

Frigidaire side by side refrigerator and freezer not working

Hi on most cases if your freezer or fridge stop working correctly at some point by not cooling or freezing right. It my be backed up by ice in your unit. which will prevent your fridge from venting or draining on to the pan. I think the condensor or little look alike radiator will be frozen up. Most cases the drain area will be back up with ice preventing your freezer from working properly. Need to remove items from freezer and try to fix it by adding warm water to the drain area or call a profesional for help

MZD2766 GE - A puddle of ice forms at the bottom of the freezer

Sounds like the defrost drain is cloged. There is a hole at the bottom of the freezer behind the back wall. if this is cloged then the water that is suppost to drain there will overflow and freez.

Water puddle on floor from inside refrigerator could it be defrost heateris bad? water accumulates in the bottom of freezer and freezes seems to come out of evaporator/fan location

unkink the drain hose...I just opened up the back of my Frigidaire Side by Side counter depth to find the drain hose was bent and collapsed coming right out of the bottom of the freezer and the pan was dry as a bone. It doesn't look like my drain hose has ever drained a drop of water. The freezer bottom is full of ice And the rust and chipping paint under the bottom of the freezer door along with the mysterious puddles of water every morning means the drain system definetely never worked. Frigidaire should be responsible for this. This, along with the ice maker rebuild I had to do,... after ice was spilling all through the fridge. I actually had warrantty left on that one and called customer support in India to find out I could make the repair myself. Yep I had to do it. Frigidaire you failed.

Water puddling in bottom of freezer and freezing

the drain in the back of the freezer is probably full of ice. you need to pull out panel and use heat from a blow dryer to unplug the drain. then take a small gauge copper wire long enough to extend into the drain a couple of inches and loop it around the black heating element then when it goes yhrough defrost it should keep this from reaccuring
