As a general rule set your t.sat 20 degrees below outside temp. Leave at this setting 30-45 minutes. Move down until comfortable no lower than 10 degrees below outside for 30-45 minutes. Unit should cycle normally. If it runs continuously then raise the t.stat 3 or 4 degrees up. The national average is 75-78. I usually keep mine set at 80 during the day here in Georgia and 74-78 at night...

Is Conia air conditioner CA24001 split system reverse cycle I cannot get heat?

Sounds like either bad reversing valve or to get you going during the summer someone may have wired it to stay energized all the time which would have been a thermostat problem.

Nordyne heat pump

It sounds like either the compressor valves have failed or the rev valve has stuck in one position. You don't mention if you looked at the operating pressures of the compressor that information would help.

We have just had a Honeywell H46C humidity controller installed. The technician told us to set both the humidistat and digital thermostat at 65 degrees when we leave the FL condo for the summer. Is this...

If you are leaving for SUMMER, definitely do not need to set at 65, that would be tremendous waste of energy. Humidistat in summer should be off. I wonder if he thought you would be gone during winter.

Should I be getting a lot of water draining down the drain tube? I never used the unit until now and. It started pouring water out of it today. So I didn't know if that is normal for it to drain a lot of...

Yes, you get a lot of water from the condensate that accumulates on the air handler finns. My house unit during the summer generates a gallon in two hours during the hot summer months. The water run off is dependent on the humidity.

Loud Noise from 76081 AC

The chances are you are damaging your A/C with each use that makes that loud sound. What kind of loud sound is it? Is it like a rattling sound? Here's a great, handy diagnostic article on that, specifying probable causes of it:

http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Home_Improvement_Zone_Cooling_Ventilation_Systems_Central_Air_Conditioning_Making_Rattling_Sound.htm

You also might want to take advantage of the text-link that offers up to four (4) free A/C contractor estimates from those in your area--you can "pick their brains" as to what they think is specifically going on with your A/C and attempt to then use their information to fix the A/C on your own, or, altogether, and for the better, pick the best-priced estimate and have it resolved this hot summer season before more damage is done.

Good luck!

Burnham ledv boiler, honeywell primary control will lockout after 1 or 2 cycles. reset, get the same results. works fine during the summer

I'm sorry to hear! On mine, another model of Burnham , there's a grey box (approx 4" high by 5" wide) on the front of the boiler. This cover slides off and the control settings are underneath. My manual says low limit must be 20 degrees below high limit else they will lock out each other. I find this to be the case when a maintenance man's "tuned" the settings. My manual also says to set the differential knob to 25 degrees. There are some manuals on the burnham.com site along with their phone number.
