1. check bios for first boot option to hard drive.
2. If xp, run repair from cd (enable cd boot in bios).

Boot sequencefor mx46-533v cansomeone tellme

Hello the manual and the drivers can be downloaded here:

Normal boot sequence in bios is:

First boot device: the cd/dvd drive
And second the harddrive.

The bios window should look like this:

Press the DEL button to enter the bios during bootup.
Select the advanced option with the arrow on the keyboard and press enter.
Scrool down to select first boot device
Select the cd drive.
Next select second boot device and select the harddrive.
Select to leave the bios by saving your settings you just made
Select Y to confirm and press enter.
Now you are ready to install windows.

You will maybe have to renew the CMOS battery, because its maybe low on power.

Best of luck

My computer says there is no disk or please insert disk

disk, are you referring to a cd/dvd disc or are you reffering to a harddrive disk??? If you are reffering to a harddrive disk, then your hard drive is either damaged/ or inproper loose connection or if it s usb/network disk, make sure it is plugged or configuration is changed in the bios menu. If this is a harddrive disk, and after POST or startup, it is giving you this error message, then before we pressume it being damged, check in your bios menu to see if the bios reconized the hard drive disk, if not, your hard drive is damaged and needs to be replaced.

Had a power failure in my area, my dell desktop was on at time. When I turned it back on I got blue screen which I know is not good. Decided to install new/bigger harddrive since I need to install windows...

Hi, you need to change your primary boot device, try pressing the F1 key during bootup, this will take you to the BIOS screen, from here you can change your primary boot device from HD to CD, save your changes, reboot, selecting boot from CD when it appears during bootup.
Hope this helps

When I turn on my notebook, the screen come black with an error message, operating systen not found, what do I do?

That is a symptom of a failed harddrive.

Assuming the cables are connected correctly,
I would try to booting with a Windows CD to see if you can access the contents of the harddrive. If you can, copy your data off to an external drive before you begin diagnostics, reformatting or naything else.

The noise you can here are probably the platlettes or parking head that are present inside the harddrive. Dropping the notebook would more than likely of damaged the harddrive more than any other peice of hardware.
