Watching tv last night it started to hum,then a crack formed all the way accross the screen inside,what the hell just hapened? Its only two years old!

The 5 blinks error code means that the lamp driver is faulty. How good are your electronics/soldering skills?

It depands if you watch say 5 hours a night times 7 nights 35 hours a week times 52 weeks a year. you be suprise.

had tv that did the same thing after three years but they were green cost me 300 bucks to get it fixed and the guy said every 3 to 5 expect it

there is an electronic problem inside the tv you shoud go to an authorized service because the power supply to this tv it is in protect mode somehthing hapened inside and need to be repair

Sounds like a problem with the vertical circuit. If yuo can solder and are comfortable with working inside the set, you may be able to repair this.

You have a cracked panel and the gasses inside have escaped. The buzzing noize you are hearing the the current flowing throught the panel. It will be cheaper buying a new TV than buying a replacement panel. But if u wanna check out the price look up your model on parts.com

If your lucky the degausser ckt will fix your rainbow in a few days. When the set is cold and on power up, the degausser works before the picture comes up(hum noise). Worst case, the shadow mask is messed up and it will never be right.
