Try resetting everything back to factory setting or download its drivers from the official website and install them.
That should fix your problem!!!!

I got a problem with my mp3

Hello,

Transfers onto the m240 can be done in 2 USB connection modes:
MTP mode: Media Transfer Protocol using software, e.g. Windows Media Player 10 or higher.
MSC mode: Mass Storage Class using Windows Explorer, looking in "My Computer" viewing the player as a removable disk.

Typically, songs put onto the player in MSC mode can not be viewed in MTP mode and the other way around.

Switching to MSC mode in the player's menu:
Look in the player under Settings Menus > USB > select MSC for using the "copy and paste" or "drag and drop" method for transfers in "My Computer".
When Auto Detect is selected, it depends on the configuration of the computer, what setup for priority has been installed.

Forcing the player into MSC mode:
1. Turn device OFF.
2. Facing the hold switch slide it to the right so an orange color would show putting the device on Hold.
3. Connect the device to the PC.

Information for the USB connection mode and how to make hidden files in XP and Vista visible, on the support site:

My Sansa m240 is saying there is no music on it when i plug it in the computer the music is really still there...what do i do?

Look for changing the USB mode of the device to MSC or MTP
Go to USB Mode settings. if you have a Sansa View - From the Main Menu, select More -> Settings/Options -> System Settings -> USB Mode.
if you have a Sansa Fuze - From the Main Menu, select Settings > System Settings > USB Mode.
if you have a Sansa Clip, e200v1 series, e200v2 series and e200R - From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB Mode.
Select Auto Detect, MTP or MSC. e200R - PlayforSure is MTP and Rhapsody is MSC
NOTE: The USB mode is not selectable for Sansa View (FW 1.03.XX and below), Sansa e200v2 (FW 03.01.14 and below), and Sansa Clip (FW 1.01.11 and below). The USB Mode setting can be enabled on these players using a firmware update.
For a more detailed explanation of MSC and MTP modes see my tip posted here --- -> http://www.fixya.com/support/r3774047-solve_mp3_player_connection_problem <-

Here are a few things you can check:
1. Try different USB ports 2. Check the USB mode on device (Menu --> Settings --> USB mode: Auto Detect/MTP/ MSC) Try interchanging them. 3. Try restarting your PC 4. Try powercycling your mp3 player.

Go into the menu, into settings, then in, usb which should have the options of auto detect or MSC, try picking the other option and connecting it to the computer and then see if there are more songs that can be deleted. Let me know how this works out

No drivers

ENGLISH
I had the exact same problem listed in this thread.
This is what I found on another site to fix it.
Make sure your M240 is not connected to the computer.
Then go into the "settings" menu and then go to the "usb" part.
Then Select "MSC" from the menu, instead of "Auto Select (or something like that).
Then turn off your player and connect it to the Win XP computer and it will be fully recognized
and you can then go to My Computer and see it there and use it.
