My girlfriend dropped her laptop today (Medion Akoya P6613) and it landed on the power adaptor that goes inside. When she picked it up the power lead fell out and there is a rattling noise coming from within. The power cable doesn't go back in so we're guessing something inside has snapped off. Does anyone have any ideas of how much a new internal power adaptor would be? I bought it from Sainsburys in th UK but she lives in Iceland so getting it back there would cost lots in postage, plus we're not sure if they actually cover accidental damage.

The piece inside is cheap in cost for my hp about 20$ a good repair guy should get you running for less then 100$ for everything shipping new piece and he repair included good luck not sure how easy it is to get a tech in iceland

You need to get the DC socket replaced, or the original one resoldered. Your power supply may be broken, but it is more likely that it is the socket. Check the cable on the power supply for any breaks or floppiness at the joints. (an indication of a broken core)

This is a hard drive issue or windows have corrupt files, if you have the installation disc try and reload the operational system, if no change! have the hardware checked out at a computer repair store.

I would think that the power supply, if connected, is having some issues and not supplying what it needs to for the notebook. If power supply is not connected, then the battery is defective or needs to be charged (which may not due to bad power supply). Try another supply (perhaps aftermarket universal in the store?) to see if anything changes.

your phone has to be set to be a access point, and your computer needs to have wifi on it not just wireless internet
