Do any of the green led lights in the set come on?---red one should be on all the time--blinking would indicate a problem in the power supply at the primary side (INPUT).

Picture will not come on

A few questions and a suggestion:

Do you get sound? Does power light stay on?

suggestion:

Unplug set and remove back cover---set will have several green led lights on board in power supply and one red one.

Red one should be on. While looking from the back have someone turn set on---note if all the green led lights come on and if one or more go off before the others you have located your problem.

The green LED's monitor voltage sources in the set's power supply.

I have more ideas but need more info from you.

If this helps rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

No power all green lights are on but one that one is red

The green LED's each monitor a supply voltage in the set's power supply---verify all are lit and the red one should be on and red.

I would have to research this set but I have another suggestion:

With the set unplugged look dead center to the right of the LED's for a small orange pico fuse, usually it is something like location E93 or E95.

It looks like a small orange resistor but if it is there it may be blown, and it can be tested like checking an automotive or regular fuse--the set has several of these---the main one has to be good or the Green LED's would not light---

If your set has this one and it is bad I can tell you exactly what part took it and how to find and repair the set---This set should be late 1990"s, look on back for date set made.

let me know what you find and if you need assistance do not hesitate to post a comment here and I will help you.

If this information told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

[BRAND SPECIFIC][TOSHIBA][QUICK FIXES]
Flashing LED
<< Back to Quick Fixes Page
If your set all of a sudden won't come on, e.g., the screen is blank, but the LED on the under the screen next to the on/off switch keeps flashing, then there may be an internal fault on the set that needs to be reset.
To force the reset, try this:
  • Unplug the set and wait a few seconds
  • Replug and see if the video returns
Whenever the set senses an internal fault through its monitoring circuitry, it essentially shuts down the set. The flashing LED provides the indication that a fault has been detected. Removing power to the set resets the monitoring circuitry. When plugged back in, the circuitry again does a check of the system. If it finds that there truly is a problem, then the set is shut down and the LED will again flash.
