Canon i550 LED error sequence: 7 orange +1 green flash

According to Canon 7 orange flashes indicates a print head fault. Solution they recommend is to take it to one of their service agents. Problem is that replacement print heads are not cheap and it is usually more economical to replace the printer. You could try taking the print head to a cartridge refiller and have it professionally cleaned (cost you nothing or next to nothing) and see if that solves the problem.

    Maintenance code 7

Leave the maintenance mode by pressing 9 then 9. You need a new waistinktank first. You'll get one at a service partner near your home: search brother hompage for that.

Afterwards you'll have to assemble the printer and to change the waistinktank.

Afterthat you can reset within the maintenance mode (search error 46)

DO NOT RESET WITHOUT REPLACING THE WAISTINKTANK
