Question about Intel Motherboard
Hi ahldy95, I'm betting you need the LAN driver software for you're Asus board. Click on this link which will load Asus site for the P5PE-VM driver page.
Easy way to do this would be to create a folder on you're desktop & name it Drivers. Create another folder in the driver folder & call it LAN. Download the LAN driver software into the LAN folder & uncompress the file within the LAN folder. Open device manager. Find the yellow ! point for the, PCI Simple Communication Controller. Right click once on the yellow ! point & left click once on update driver. Windows hardware wizard will open. Click No, not at this time. Than click the next button. Another window will open. Left click once in the circle next to, Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Than click the next button. Again, another window will open. We want to remove the green check mark next to, Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...). Click the green check mark once & it will go away. Browse to the LAN folder & click on it so it's high-lighted. Click ok. Windows should find the correct driver & install it. If it does not, click to high-light the sub folder for you're OS. That it.
If you run into trouble just let me know & we'll go from there.
