Question about ViewSonic N3250W Television
I never remember seeing a red standby light. But I know that right now there is none. This would be if the unit is plugged in but not on, I guess.
There is no fuse from the outside but I opened the back and found a fuse inside on the (what looks like) the power supply board. It checked OK when checking it in circuit.

I got one of these tvs from a co-worker who didn't want to try to fix it. I stumbled across this brilliant person's work and ordered the small chip from a place in san fran. it was here in 3 days, i carefully soldered in the new chip (not at all easy, be careful not to pull up the contacts on the circuit board when you remove the burnt one) and the tv has been working fine ever since. only $20 with shipping.
