I have an Panasonic DMC-FX7 Lumix camera. I went to Kinkos so they could download the pictures on to a CD-rom, they tried their scan disk and it was not working. When I tried to look at the pictures in my camera I received a memory card error stating would I like to format. I did not do anything in fear of erasing valuable, precious, irreplaceable photos of my daughter, family and friends. I also tried using the memory card on my scandisk on my computer and the message received was unreadable data. Please tell me how to retrieve and save these priceless photos. PLEASE!

- Thanks for the assistance. I will try your suggestion. (Crossing my fingers)
Hey longleggs, Your images are most likely not lost, and you were right to not format the card when prompted to do so. There are multiple program downloads available on the internet that usually can recover your images. I would search the web for photo recovery program and you should get multiple results. Some of these programs are free and some come at a charge. I would try the free ones first since just because one program can't recover your images doesn't mean another program can't. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Allan Go Ahead. Use Us.
