Question about Lexmark X3470 All-In-One InkJet Printer
To tray08, did you just replace your cartridge when it did this? I have when through 2 of these printers so far. I tried to fix it the first time and knocked the scanner out of line so I bought another one and 2 days ago the same thing happened. On almost all of the Lexmark printers when you open the cover to change the cartridge there is a little plastic prong on the right side in the back. This makes contact with another little plastic lever that snaps onto a button triggering the cover to close and the cartridge to move back into the printing position. This little plastic lever seems to fall off all the time. I cut part of the back off my printer so I could get in there better and I put a drop of shoe goo on the lever and pushed it back into place. Works perfect now. At least until I change the cartridge again.
