It's a shot...but if I recall correctly the rubber seal thats between the door and the fridge can be peeled back or removed, and underneath are the screws that hold the inside panels on...

I would peel the seal back a little at a time until I actually locate a screw...then once located... I would feel more confident about the removal of the entire seal. Keep in mind the seal is much easier to remove than to replace...I used baby oil in some place to replace the seal...Good Luck!

Water leaks from bottom of freezer door

You need to remove the door from the refrigerator, then remove from the door the plastic frame carefuly, its snaping, and attach the new (1/4") line to the end of existing line then pull up the existing line softhly until the new one appears, check before all this if the line is broken at then of door or in the middle and if leak is below the refrigerator check from the solenoid to the door.

Three things come to mind:
A) High humidity has overwhelmed the defroster & blocked the passageways so air will not circulate. (Put important food in a cooler, turn the temperature dial to off & leave doors open until ice melts out. Generally overnight. Be prepared to mop up excess water)
B) Defrost timer stopped working. (Generally behind a cover panel on the fridge side. Un-plug unit & remove panel to find a small metal box in the airflow path from the freezer. They generally have provision to manually turn the timer wheel with a screwdriver. Plug back in & allow to run & see if the ice melts. If so, the clock motor is shot. Replacements can be bought on-line)
C) Burned out defroster heating element. Generally older units. (Un-plug & put essentials in a cooler. Remove cover panel on freezer side to expose cooling coils. Allow ice to melt overnight, (again, lots of water). In the AM you can see the glass tube enclosed heater coils. All dark & smokey inside, heater is burned out. Replacements on-line for ~ $75.) If the unit is more than 15 years old, consider a more energy efficient replacement.
Good Luck!

Hello,
sounds to me that the line inside of the door is cracked. Their is no easy way to repair that, either the entire door must be disassambled to replace that line,or replace the outerdoor panel with the line embedded into it,to replace the door panel it requires transfering all the compentents fmor old to new door panel, a partial list of things that must be transfered parts from old to new outer door include but not limited to
inner door panel
door gasket
dispenser asm (which cant come out as one piece and must to disassabbled into appx. 20 parts)
wiring
hinges
door handles

Kenmore side-by-side not dispensing ice or water, the ice maker has been replaced, no water going into the tray. I cannot locate the water filter, does this model have one?

Don't know what is the model number of your fridge. 1.Need check electric water valve under the fridge. If that fridge made by GE (Kenmore just a Sears brand name and they use several others manufacturers for refrigeration), usually it's a frozen plastic water supply line inside freezer door. You could unplug fridge for 24 hours (you have to put food from freezer to other freezer).

Water dispenser line leaking at bottom of freezer door hinge, line broken, do i need to remove the inside door panel of freezer door to replace it?

if you have enough room left you can just cut out the hole and go to any hardware store and pick up a water line coupler and repair it....if it is too short or broke up inside the door then you need to remove the water/ice dispenser and pull the line through and run the new one down the track.

Water line broken for Kenmore refrigerator near compressor

Cut off a piece of line and go to a good hardware store, they can show you how to fix it. Need a coupling, and a nut and ferrel. House water line goes on one end of coupling, nut and ferrel on the broken water line on fridge. A good hardware store will be able to show you how to fix.

Replacing water line in freezer side door

Yes as I stated on other posts, go to an appliance shop and get a threaded connector. Mine cost about $7 and i had to do some minor adjustment cutting to the plastic guard at the bottom of fridge/freezer...so the new piece would not put too much pressure on the line. The white coupling connector on the line u will see has a red and blue washer conected on eitrher side of water line. To disconnect line ..just push in on top of washer and pull line. Cut the torn lines so u at least have a line that is clean and mostly straight, but dont cut TOO MUCH!! just the bare edge, about 1/8 " inch. Use some needle nose pliers ,real small ones.. to pull the line from bottom of door and apply connector. Put lines back on and do faceplate and check for leaks. Good luck!!
