Question about Cameras
This message should mean that the lens aperture is not set to its smallest aperture which would be the largest # on the aperture ring. This message could also mean your lens is not a G or D type Nikkor lens, or it is a non cpu lens which means if this is the lens should only be able to be used in full manual mode and the exposure meter will not function.
