Hi: We ahve a Tornado CV30 vacuum. The suction does not seems to be working properly. There is no suction at the tool hose and the bag does not seem to have air moving into it. Do you think there is a clog somewhere? The roller is moving. Thank you for youre help :) Kelly Branson, Mo.

We checked the hose and made sure it was clear as you suggested before we sent you this question. Is there anyplace not obvious that could be clogged? Unfortunatly we don't have a manual for this machine and are not familiar with the inward workings. Any other suggestions?

To clear the clog, remove the hose and wand from the unit and separate them. The hose is released by pressing the white plastic ring in the housing. The two are separated by simply unscrewing them. Remember this threaded connection uses a left-handed, or reverse, thread. By looking through each of these pieces, the user can ensure they are not clogged. To check the lower hose, it is easiest to lay the unit on its side. Remove the glide sole by turning the yellow turn locks to line up with the slots and then removing the glide sole. Remove the yellow connector the wand was plugged into. You should be able to see the brush through the hose from the rear of the machine.

I have a Eureka Contour model 2900 type A upright vacuum, the roller works fine nothing clogged, took it apart motor blade is free of debris, no suction from tube and blasts OUT air from the front HEPA...

Even with your explanation,it seems the hose is clogged.Try taking the hose off, then blow through it or pour water through it.If this doesn't do it,make sure the suction canals are going to the proper areas.

Loss of suction o=with hose tool

Hose or tool is probably clogged. Is this an upright? Bagged or bagless? Have you changed the bag and filters? Cleaned out the brush and hose that goes from the brush area to the collection bag/cup? The only reason for a vacuum cleaner to lose suction but still work is a clog or dirty filter which blocks the air flow. Follow the air flow from the brushes to the bag/dirt cup. If the machine is bagged, change the bag. I use another vacuum cleaner to do this. While your at it, might as well change the belt.

The unit turns on when hose is plugged in any of the outlets but we are getting zero suction.

Do you have suction at the unit? If you do not, then there is something blocking the motors in the unit. Otherwise it sounds like you have a severe clog.

You do not need to buy the tornado wipes, just use a paper towel.

I cleaned out the hose and removed brush to clean and checked belt. Everything seems to work but will not pick up or suction on carpet. The hose is totally clear from clogs. I can see the floor from one...

Hi troupdavid,

I see that your Vacuum is having issues with it suction, you mentioned that you took it a part to clean it, see steps below.

  • Check if everything is inserted properly and is in place.
  • make sure the the Vacuum airflow does not have anywhere else to come out from, cause if there is, the vacuum suction will really not be really getting enough suction to be able to get dirt Off the floor.
  • Make sure the bag is correctly placed in the Vacuum and is tucked in properly for proper suction.
  • The hose should be twisted to be locked into Place, either clock wise or counter clockwise which ever makes it lock to the hose socket.
  • Also check the agitator shield beneath making sure that the Belt is not pinched in or squished by the Agitator and the Agitator shield, this can also cause lack of suction for the Vacuum.
I hope that this will be of help regarding your query.

Have a nice day,

No suction for use of crevice tools, running hot, then shut off

Obviously no suction in hose would indicate a blockage, over heating is a breaker that shuts off the machine when it over heats. There is no way to clean hose the on this model because the hose does not detach at either end, therefore I had to employ the use of the good old wire hangar. Job complete up and running, with good suction. It is amazing what a prayer to God can do.

Hi, my sanyo pulse 1500 bagless vacuum has very little suction.

If the vacuum will run without the hose attached, does the suction seem ok at the opening where the hose goes into? If so, then you have a clog in the hose or down below where the dirt is first sucked up. If suction is poor at the vacuum, then check the filters, they go bad after awhile.

No suction

1, Does the blower (discharge) side blow bunches of air??
Yes: Something is clogged from the bag to the hose end. Try blowing out the hose from the discharge side.
Or: The bag is not properly seated. Make sure that the plastic piece is properly inserted into the bag, and properly aligned and locked in place with the suction intake.
No: Something is wrong in the motor/fan assembly.
2: The hose has a plastic cover on the end farthest from the unit. Make sure that this cover is closed. If it is open, your suction will go way down.
