theres a small red filter in the head of the machine that gets clogged with hair and the machine wont draw as good, you have to find that and keep it cleaned out. FYI also-if you have pets you have to stop every few rows and check the floating bar mechanisms keep them free of hair or they will overheat the bearings and snap belts and eventually melt the bearings into the brush bar..

good luck

Not putting out water

I had the same problem with mine and it was an easy fix. If you remove the soap holder without putting the selector dial to "water only" you will lose the prime in the hose that goes to the water chamber. It takes a few minutes of pulling the water trigger to regain that prime, but it will come back eventually. Easiest fix, of course, is to always remember to dial to water only when you need to add cleaning solution..

I have a Bissell powersteamer proheat. The problem is that the unit will no longer spray water/cleaner out of the bottom of the unit.

Check to see if water will squirt out of the hose, if it does, then take the handle apart, the heater may be clogged. Once you get to the heater, take off the 2 water lines, dig out the clog, try to blow thru the heater to make sure it is open, then put back together. Otherwise it could be the belt, pump, seal not in place on the bottom of the tank or a clogged water line.
