I'm sorry that the TV is not displaying red color. Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation:
Please make sure that the connections are secure and proper.
Try connecting a different video source like DVD player or VCR and check the operation. If it works with another device, the issue might be with the input device currently.
Also try connecting the device to a different port in the TV if no other devices are available.
If the issue persists, try with a different cable.
Perform a power resetting and check the operation. To perform the power resetting, unplug the TV from wall outlet for more than 2 minutes and then reconnect it.
If the issue persists, please change the Lamp of the TV to resolve the issue. XL2400 is the replacement Lamp for the TV. Please refer page # 86 of the Instruction Manual of the TV to get the instructions to change the Lamp. I'm providing the link to download the Instruction Manual for your reference. Click here to download the Manual.
Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
Resetting the TV If the
buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do
not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped
responding. Reset the TV as follows:
NOTE: Some TVs have a reset
button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before
using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time. 1.Unplug the TV
power cord from the power outlet. 2.Unplug any
connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3.Press and hold
the TV power button for five seconds. 4.Plug the TV
power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5.Open the
on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6.Turn off the TV
and reconnect the devices. 7.Turn on the TV.
Good Day, albertgaw;
Since TV is showing an image I would suspect the cable/sat box. Try rebooting box again, unplug or hold power button in for 5-8 seconds, be patient and allow several minutes to allow box to reset. If no fix call your provider to resend the signal, or arrange to have box replaced.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
this is very common. it is the power supply going bad. it should run at
130 volts dc. but it is now running much lower that this. just enought
for the tv to come on. but not enough to power all the circuits right.
Could be a loose power button or problem with relay/circuitry. Recommend you get a professional to take a look. Also try a hard reset: Unplug from mains, remove all cabling from TV. Wait 10 mins. After 10-15mins, hold down the power button and replug TV to mains. Now redo all cabling and try powering on the TV.
Should it still not work, you'll have to call in a pro..
The reason you can't pull-up the Mintek website is because the company is out of business. I have one that is frozen on one channel and none of the buttons or remote will work. I took it to a repair shop and the said one of the circuit boards is bad but since the company is out of business they can't get the needed part. The only way to get the part is to find a set which can be cannabalized for the needed parts.
your problem is no doubt in the stand by circuitry You will have to trouble shoot your set as this is a thermal issue and you will need to do the testing of the various components while it is experiencing the trouble to find the problem. Let me know if you wat a manual. I can provide a link where you can get one .
