    I've just reinstalled a one-year-old Logitech MX Duo and now find that the only keyboard 'enhancements' that work as advertised are the volume control and the scroll wheel at the left side of the keyboard. When I press :-
    'My Home' button I get Favorites;
    'Favorites', I get a 'Media Centre' popup;
    'Shopping' I get a Logitech help screen for Keyboard Quick Reference;
    'Search' I get the Windows Messenger logon screen;
    'iTouch' I get the Master Volume at the bottom of the screen;
    Mute button gets me the iTouch/Standard F-Key Functions;
    'Webcam' it does the Play/Pause operation for Media Player;
    'Messenger/SMS' stops the Media Player;
    'E-mail' selects the Master Mute option
    'F-Track' select Next Track on Media Player.

    I think I'm losing what's left of my mind. :-(

I had the same problem but finally found a solution hidden in the depths of Logitech. It's quoted below. I had to do it a couple of times before it worked, and it seems that you need to reconnect the mouse at the same time. I didn't the first time and then the keyboard refused to work. (Finger trouble?) :-(

Cheers,
Magani

You may be able to reset the keyboard and resolve the problem by clearing the keyboard capacitors. To do this, remove the batteries from the keyboard and type continuously on as many keys as possible for one to two minutes. This action should simulate touch-typing; you should not press and hold only some keys down.
After you clear the capacitors, replace the batteries and synchronize the keyboard using the following procedure:

  1. Make sure the batteries are in correctly. A diagram on the device itself or in the Getting Started Guide should tell you the correct polarity for the batteries.
  2. Press the connect button on the receiver.
  3. Press the connect button on the bottom or right hand edge of the keyboard.
    NOTE: If you are using a Cordless Desktop System, you must do this procedure for both the mouse and the keyboard.
The "Connect" button on the mouse is quite small and usually requires a pencil tip or other small object to push it. Remember, ALL Logitech cordless devices will have a synchronization button. If you have the "Cordless Mouse" with Model Number (M/N) M-RN67, the button will be located in a small hole on the lower portion of the back of the mouse. You will need a paper clip to access the button.

Ive lost my hotkeys on my keyboard

Sounds like your keyboard driver has either stopped working or has been removed. Keyboards will function as normal without specific drivers but hotkeys etc. wont work. Look at the manufactures web site for keyboard drivers, usually they are pretty good at providing the downloads. without them installed correctly hotkeys will not work. Once installed run the software and check the keys assignments.

Hot key

What kind of keyboard? What do you want the hotkeys to do? Go to Control Panel on your computer and you can usually map hotkeys specifically from the Keyboard section of Control Panel.

Someone is probably playing a prank on you. Disable the services one by one until you find the program that is assigning those programs hotkeys so programs can't run with hotkeys.
