Question about Emerson Fans Emerson SW375 Receiver
I have the emerson cornerstone 1895 with a 6 speed remote hand-held control and receiver. I think it the sw375 reciever thats bad, because I get a mmentary hum and motor twist, but the fan won't continue to spin at any lower speed. I get operation at high speed, but can't get a lower speed to stay constant. The fan is ony operable at high and I'd wish to know what part needs replacement. Is it the receiver that is bad, or is it the capacitor?

Please excuse me if you already have the answer, but I went thru the same thing and found that the actual receiver was broken. The receiver that is found in the top part of the fan itself. I was able to diagnose the problem because I have two of the same fans in the house and when I switched the receiver units, the broken fan started to work. Hope that helps.
