Xerox 5665 beeping for all functions

Is there a way to turn off the beeps - it beeps three times for printing - beeps everytime you touch a button or select off the select screen. It is very annoying since I sit near it!

  1. Press the [Log In / Out] button on the left side of the Control Panel. The System Administrator Login screen will be displayed.

  2. Enter the System Administrator Login ID using the numeric keypad on the Control Panel, and then select the [Confirm] button on the Touch Screen. The System Administrator Menu screen will be displayed.

NOTE: The System Administrator Login ID and UserID is '11111' by default. If an error is made, press the [Clear (C)] button and re-enter the ID. To cancel the operation, select [Cancel]. If the administrator has a problem with changing or has forgotten the ID, a service call must be placed.

  3. Select the [System Settings] button twice. The System Settings screen will be displayed.
  4. Select the [Common Settings] button. The Common Settings screen will be displayed.
  5. Select the [Audio Tones] button.
  6. Select the required option from the list, and then select the [Change Settings] button.
  7. Select the [Save] button to save the settings.
  8. Select the [Close] button several times, and then select the [Exit] button to exit.

On the menu, select "tools", I believe it is either four "1's" you need to type for the password, or four "4's". Once you are in the machine preset selections, somewhere there in the presets you might find "Beep" on or off.
If you cannot find it in there, it will be in the diagnostics section. The service repair person is the one to enter in it and change the machine configurations. Only a trained person with the service manual should enter this section.

The Xerox machine is fine. Office equipment are like a cars, and cars, they do get old.

Not having a service manual, especially a former repar person, one has a tendency to not remember all the codes on every machine, this is why a operator and service manual comes in handy.

If you enter the 5 or 6 "1's, and it not work after 3 times, the machine will lock up. Go out of the menu and try going back in after waiting for a while. If not, turn off the machine for at least 10 seconds and turn it on again.

    Good luck.

Touch screen calibration xerox 7345

Switch on the power while simultaneously holding down the numerical keys 0, 1, and 3 on the Control Panel.
The Calibration Screen 1 will display
In numeric sequence (P1 to P9), touch the intersections of the vertical and horizontal lines with the stylus.
Apply the stylus to each of the four line intersections. A black square should appear at the point of contact, and a beep should sound.
If four beeps are heard, adjustment is OK.
If you don't hear four beeps, repeat the adjustment from step 1.
Switch the power off and then on.

I replace the printer drum on my 5665 workcentre and I can barley see the print, I am told it the high voltage for the drum is out, Can you help?.

The problem occured right after you replaced the drum ?
You could have a defective drum module, but I would suspect that when you replaced the module and turned the orange handle the developer housing did not cam in properly.
You can remove the left cover and push the developer housing in toward the drum.
Sounds to me like the housing just did not return to the home position.

Beeping when printing

Don't want to call you wrong, but these printers don't have speakers, thus they don't have a programmed beep. You may be hearing a squeek. Sometimes the drums on the toner cartrdiges may squeek.

PROBLEM COPYING WITH MY ALL- IN- ONE

This message is inbuilt into most Canon printers, there is spongy thing in the printer which when fills up fires the message (it's mostly a counter in the printer, which can be reset more later...), per Canon this can only be dealt with in a lab but some of the more adventurous have tried cleaning it by themselves. Note that in a lab they won't clean it, it's a part that needs replacing and it might cost around $60. In most Canon printers there is a reset procedure that can reset the error and allow you to print some more before handling it again. Following are the reset procedures for some of the Printers: (not that F60 isn't listed here) Canon GENERIC "S" SERIES RESET CODE Waste Ink Counter Reset. (1) Turn off the printer. (2) Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button. (3) Release the RESUME button, Next press and release the RESUME button two(2) more times in succession. Note: you are still holding the POWER button). The printer's carriage will "reset" or move momentarily. If the above was properly performed the printer will enter the "Service Mode". (4) Press the RESUME button 4 times, this will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will alternate (change) color with each key press. 1. Service/Factory test printout, including ink sensor check. 2. EEPROM - Info printout. 3. EEPROM - Initialization. 4. Reset the Waste ink counter. 5. Printer model setting. (More selections beyond this point - However it is best leave them unaltered - You have been warned!) After selecting the desired mode (eg 4), press the POWER button to "set" the change, and return to the top of the function selection menu.
