1. Click Start, and then click Run. 2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK. 3. Locate the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion 4. To change the company name, do the following:

In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOrganization. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK. 5. To change the name of the registered owner, do the following:

In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOwner. Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK. 6. Click Exit on the File menu to quit Registry Editor.
That should do it.

Cash Register problem? - DON'T CLEAR THE WHOLE MACHINE

People often ask for the methods to fully clear the programming of their cash register so they can start again. This is especially so when they have purchased a second hand machine with previous owner's data still intact.

HOLD YOUR HORSES!

Many machines (especially the medium to high end registers) have a large amount of system configuration settings that you usually don't know about. A technician or programmer probably set many of those for your area/ taxes/ currency types etc. If you wipe these out, you may end up with a lot of screwing around and button pushing to find the right ones for you.
It is far better just to modify the existing programming (item buttons, receipt message, staff settings etc). Hey don't we all like doing the minimum amount of work :-)

RAM (full memory) clearing is a last resort in most cases.

Note: This is not to be confused with resetting a report to show the days takings and ready the cash register for the next usage.

Please feel free to ask for advice. The answer may be simpler than you think.

Setup receipt watermark on casio tk-1550

If you removed the batteries and lost all of the other programming but the old receipt message is still there, then someone has programmed a bitmap logo into the non volatile flash memory. You should take it to a dealer and get them to flash the logo back out and ask them to change it to a normal text logo so you can program it yourself.
If anyone needs more information, the manuals are here:

How do I change the registered owner name on the computer as I purchased the computer from someone else. When I scan the computer I keep getting trojans and cookies, and worms picked up from stuff he went...

I would reformat the PC and reinstall the Windows. This way you don't have to mess with that the previous owner's data and it will remove all the Viruses,Trojans and Spyware. And you can put in in your name.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
