The clothes are sometimes getting light/streaky burn marks on them. I checked vent pipe and it is completely clear. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem with the streaks on clothes. How hard is it to replace the felt drum gaskets?

Those may not be burn marks. Your clothing may be getting caught in the felt drum gasket seal. If the seal is worn sometimes clothing can become caught between the drum and the bulkhead and leave brownish colored rub marks on your clothing. Post back with your model number and I can see if I can find a part listing for you to illustrate what I'm talking about.

If you are using Fabric Softener Sheets than look in the dryer closely for one to be wedged in a fin or anywhere inside .They will make the streaks you mention. Please rate this !!!

Why isn't My Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Soft Heat Extra Capacity Electric Dryer drying clothes on any one cycle?

One possibility: Air flow! Make sure that the lint trap is cleaned before each cycle. You likely need to thoroughly clean out the vent piping out the back of the machine- a buildup of lint in here can also restrict airflow.

Electric dryer won"t heat. Kenmore Heavy Duty 70

are you getting power down to the heater?why did you change all those other parts?you need to unplug the dryer, with a meter read out all the parts you changed out again but first make sure you have 240 volts coming to the machine, you can check it at the cord in the back, touch the white to the red,you should have 110 volts or 120,then go from the white to the black and you should have the same thing,if not the problem is in the house,if it's correct make sure you have power coming down to the heater, you could have a bad timer or a burnt wire, when you check the other parts unplug the dryer and whatever part you check at least one wire has to be removed,do this and you'll find your problem,if you did this first you wouldn't of bought all those parts.let me know what you find

check outside drye vent where it goes through the wall they clog up with lint sometimes and force the escaping warm air to back up which causes sensor to give wrong reading if this is clogged just clear it till you feel the air coming through also check vent at bottom of dryer disconnect flex pipe and check for clogs there as well ..and always clear lint trap after every load

Kenmore Electric Dryer Series 80 Model

Disconnect the dryer from your vent completely,. pull dryer out 3 ft. from wall and test to see if the smell continues, You have to test for a few minutes to clear out any burning lint from vent restrictions. If the smell hoes away then you know you have venting problems. Also check on the grate that covers the element( the part you look through when you see the orange glow from the element) sometimes plastic or clothing burns onto this grate and needs to be cleaned off. I the smell remains, you will have to tear down the dryer to see if you can find the cause of the smell.
