Question about Webcams

Driver not working

I have a HP 1.3 Megapixel Notebook webcam, the version with USB input only. I'm operating on Vista, 32-bit. I don't have the disc for the software; I bought the webcam secondhand.

I've tried installing a number of drivers from the HP website and none of them seem to work. Some seem to be intended for a different version of the cam (I've seen the words "Ultimate" and "Ultra" tacked into the name). Does anyone know where I can find the correct driver? I've already tried:

Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.

Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Tried to download new version of quickcam connect software

Most computers are 32 Bit computers. Unless you just got a new computer with either Windows XP or Vista, then you must have a 32 bit computer.

Just go back and get the 32 bit download and install it.
But do this to install it.
Normal 0 Disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
