Hoa do I replace my polar s610 battery, Polar themselves did this for me along with a full service round 2 years ago and I never used the watch since, took it out the cupboard today and it is telling me...

What is on the back of the watch do you see any small screws? If not you do you see indents going in a circle? If you see screws you need a very small screw driver and carefully remove screws be careful not to strip them. If you see indents going in a circle you need a special tool only available at a jewelry store or watch repair facility that will unscrew the back. If you dont see either one of these, then look around the edge of the watch for an indent and gently pry up with a pocketknife. I hope this helps let me know how you do!

How do you change the battery in a black dice flow watch

You need to open watch case back using appropriate tools. There are two batteries in this model - one for each watch movement. Unscrew/un-clip battery contact. Memorize polarity (+ and -). Take the battery to your nearest watch battery shop or watch repair shop and buy the same one. Fit new battery back in watch (remember polarity!). Fit back contact as it was. Close the watch case back. Set the time. Done.

Reset button has no impact on S120 - no functions available other than time of day

The S120 is now a fairly old watch. When the function buttons and heart rate cease to function this is generally an indicator that the battery needs to be replaced. The buttons themselves can also become worn out or weak of function, in either case you have a couple of options.

1) send in to a Polar Authorized Service center: This is very important, do not take to a normal watch shop. You need the watch properly resealed and handled correctly as well as you may need parts such as a button return spring they will not have. Plus there is a 90day warranty on Polar's repair. You will also need to send in your chest strap just to make sure that is still functioning properly. Battery repair about $15-, new buttons another $10ish, and a chest strap if needs replacing about $25 or $30-. $50-$60 total if everything needs work, but this is just an estimate.

2) buy a new watch unit. The RS100 (the current replacement) is about $100- and is easier to use with a better chest strap.

Professional battery installation, doesn't turn on, is there a power on button? Or do I need to take it back and have them try again?

There are only a few Authorized Polar Service Centers. If you did not take it to one of these (which provide a 90 day warranty) they may have broken something or put in the wrong battery.

Polar and other HRM's are mini computers and actually quite delicate inside, they are not normal watches and while many watch repair places profess to be able to fix them, more often than not they cause a new problem. They are also repressurized with a special machine to keep them watertight, your watch is most certainly not watertight anymore and will eventually cause yoiu problems.

Too answer your question, no power on switch, if the battery install was good you would see a display. Take the watch back to the shop, and if they can not fix it, send it to Polar and then have the shop reimburse you for the repair. Polar will be happy to send them a detailed and Itemized account of what they had to fix.

Watch stopped working, replaced battery still doesn't work?

The only solution is too send into a Polar Authorized Service Center. Regular watch shops are not equipped to diagnose and/ or fix problems with Polar watches, or most other Heart Rate watches for that matter.

How to change battery in women's FT40

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
I would send to Polar to have them do the battery. The receiver should be tested for water resistance using special equipment after battery replacement. Most watch repair shops do not have the equipment to do that. During the warranty period, it is necessary to service the unit at an authorized service center to keep the warranty valid. Also spare parts may be needed.

I think that the battery needs replacing.

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving in doing it yourself.

Many people replace their own batteries but some of them have problems with replacing the backs and finding (for some unknown reason) the watch no longer works!

I advise you to take your watch to your nearest authorized dealer and ask them to do it for you.
